Yet again, we’ve had a full house on our Singapore MBTI® Certification Programme with a total of 32 participants on the four day programme, which was held at the Carlton Hotel. The July programme also marked the introduction of new closed book tests for each of the modules. Although there was some initial trepidation from the troops, everyone passed and there were four participants with perfect scores!
As always, the participants were enthusiastic and keen learners who will use the Instrument to benefit organizations and individuals from all walks of life. Congratulations to all the participants and we look forward to seeing you on our upcoming application workshops.

We ran a very successful second MBTI® Certification Programme in Jakarta at the Hotel Mulia Senayan from the 3rd to the 6th of May. 12 participants from a variety of industries as well as a number of independent consultants attended and successfully completed the very intensive 4 day programme. This indicates that the instrument is beginning to make inroads into the Indonesian market. The participants have even set up a Facebook page to share photos and experiences of using the instrument.

Dr. Ken Thomas is co-author of the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode [TKI] instrument and author of the recently published Work Engagement Profile [WEP].
He visited Singapore on 24th March and gave a briefing at our offices to a number of our clients.
The WEP is based on the research published in Dr. Thomas' book Intrinsic Motivation at Work [2nd Edition, 2009], a copy which he gave to each participant. The self scorable version of the WEP instrument was recently launched and the online version is now available. Click here for more information on the instrument.

The WEP has a range of applications for both individuals and teams. Examples of applications include profiling intact teams, leadership development and executive coaching. I ran a workshop with a client in Malaysia recently and will be pleased to share that experience - they had an intact team who were experiencing challenges relating to engagement. The WEP helped identify what the underlying issue was.

Our first public certification program of the year was hosted by ICLIF in Kuala Lumpur. The program was a source of both learning and enjoyment. All the participants, who came from Malaysia and Singapore, were successfully certified.
The year 2009 turned out well for our certification programs. We ran a total of 11 MBTI® Certification Programs including both "Public Programs" and "In-house Programs" in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. We are glad that these participants will join the many professionals from different sectors already certified in the MBTI® in the region. You can download our program schedule for 2010 here.
We will also be running our Conflict Resolution Workshop on 24 and 25 Feburary this year.

With effect from July 2010, the course fee for our MBTI® Program will be increased to S$3650. Please note that this is before GST and participants are entitled to a 5% discount if either of the following requirements are fulfilled.
1. Payment for program is received 60 days before it commences.
2. Three or more participants from the same organization attends the same program.

This was the last in-house program for the year of 2009. It was held at the Suntec Convention Center and with a total of 10 participants attending it. The participants had great discussions on the use of MBTI® with our trainer, Brian Lawrence.
The venue was spacious with comfortable moving space for splitting exercises and I hope that all the participants had a fruitful, insightful and nonetheless enjoyable experience!

We ran parallel MBTI® Certifcation Programs in November 2009 at Royal Plaza on Scotts at their Orchard and Balmoral rooms. Both programs were successful and the participants gained knowledge in the use of the assessments and the possible applications, their self-developments and using it to benefit others.
